Closing of Roads
On race day, Saturday March 17, road 90 will be closed at 6:45 at the following points:

  • 500 meters north of the Ein-Gedi Spa turn-off. For people arriving from the north (Ein-Gedi, Northern Dead Sea, Jerusalem etc.) there will be access to the event at all times.
  • At Masada Junction. If you arrive to the event from the south (Dead Sea Hotels, Arad, Masada etc.) make sure you pass Masada Junction by 6:45. 

It is recommended to park at the northern parking lot of Ein-Gedi Spa. All participants must follow the signage and instructions. Parking by the side of the road is stricltly prohibited.

07:30 - 30 km 
08:00 - Half-Marathon 21.1 km
08:15  - 10 km Run
08:20 - 10 km Walk
08:30 - 5 km 
10:15 - 2 km Kids Run

The races will be run on Road 90, from Ein-Gedi Spa to Masada Junction and back. The course is mostly flat with a few curves and is considered one of the fastest courses in Israel. 
The course will be marked with signs and traffic cones. Runners should stay to the right of the course. 

Water points
Water points will be stationed every 2-2.5 km, on the right side of the road. Isotonic drink and light nutrition will be available for runners at the last third of the half marathon. 

10 km Race Walking
Ein-Gedi run holds the biggest race walking event in Israel. The walkers will start with the 10 km runners and will be monitored by race judges stationed along the course. Walkers who will not follow the race rules will be disqualified. 

Time Keeping
the time keeping will be carried out using an electronic timing system and disposable chips.
